Masada Ruins & Dead Sea
Built by King Herod between 37-31 BCE, the palace had a full bath house, lookout points and a store room that held years worth of grain and imported delicacies. Masada has a legendary status in Israeli and Jewish hearts. Here, in 66 to 73 CE the fight for Jewish independence was fought by 966 Jewish rebels with such a strength and fidelity that the people taking this as their last resort, chose to die rather than surrender to the Romans.

Visit Gilboa Mountain
We will go to Beit Alpha and see the beautiful mosaic floor of a synagogue from the Byzantine period, and then continue to Gan Hashlosha, (Sachne) where we can dip our feet in the water springs located at the foot of the Gilboa Mountain, the famous mountain on which King Saul was killed in the battle against the Philistines.
