Amazon Basin
Cover one of us for a day as we spend 4 days exploring the rain forest of the Amazon Basin. We will travel, by foot and canoe, to the Heath River Wildlife Center, on the Bolivian border, and take wildlife tours giving us the opportunity to see tapirs, giant river otters, jaguars, capybaras, kinkajous, a dozen different species of monkeys, and nearly 1000 different bird species. On this trip, we will also visit a Clay Lick visited daily by hundreds of parrots and macaws.

Bus: Cuzco to Puno
Treat us to a scenic 8-hour quasi-tourist bus ride through the Andes as we travel from Cuzco to Puno on the shores of the world's highest navigable lake, Lake Titicaca.

Bus: Lima to Nazca
Sponsor a bumpy 6.5 hour bus ride from Lima to Nazca and help us experience some local color.

Bus: Nazca to Arequipa
Treat us to an economical (and undoubtedly adventure-filled) 9-hour bus ride from the coastal desert to the Andean foothills as we travel from Nazca to Arequipa.

Detour to Bolivia!
Lake Titicaca straddles the Peru-Bolivia border and, if we go through a little trouble to get visas to enter Bolivia, we can take a boat trip across the lake to the more visually pleasing of its two main cities: Copacabana. Help us take a scenic boat trip into a another country and spend a day and night exploring the beautiful white-washed buildings and ornate churches of this fun little city, as well as the Incan ruins that surround it. (Also chips in for the tourist visas for Bolivia.)

Flight over Nazca Lines
Send us up in the air to fly over the Nazca Lines: desert geoglyphs, over 2000 years old, so large they can only be properly seen from the sky. We'll get a 45-minute flight over the Nazca desert in a small plane and will have a perfect view of these amazing ancient drawings.
