Flight for 2 to San Pedro

We may be able to get to Belize, but our resort is on Ambergris Caye, an island in the Caribbean. We still have to fly 20 minutes on a tiny plane to get there! Buy us 4 minutes of flying time there and back.

Boat Ride to Paradise!

Once in San Pedro, we still have a boat ride to our resort! The resort is only 5 miles north of the town, but apparently the water is less bumpy than the roads!

Honeymoon Casita

We are staying at the Matachica Resort in a honeymoon beachfront casita! With beautiful aqua waters steps away, who could ask for anything more? Purchase a portion of the week in paradise for us!

Champagne Toast!

After the long flight, what better way to wind down than with a champagne toast on our casita's veranda overlooking the beautiful blue waters?

No Waffle House Breakfast

Much to our dismay, there are no Waffle House's in Belize. There is, however, a beautiful restaurant at the resort. A papaya banana smoothie sounds good to us!

Private Sunset Dinner

The resort will organize a private dinner for two on the veranda of our casita. Stars, candlelight, delicious food, and a bottle of wine sounds like the beginning of a romantic evening in paradise!

RELAX!

Well, island living might not be very stressful, but help us relax together with a fantastic couples massage by the sea! Jade Spa at Matachica will provide an aromatic couples massage for us! How romantic is that?

No Scurvy for Us!

Help us get our daily dose of fruit by purchasing two fruity mixed drinks at the beachfront bar for our enjoyment!

Adventures of the Jones's

Just like Indiana, we'll be traipsing through the jungles one day. Starting with a winding boat ride through the Northern River, we will then visit the enchanting and impressive Altun-Ha Mayan ruins, and finally we might take a refreshing dip in the exotic pool at Maruba Resort!

Dinner at Mambo's

Our resort has an award winning restuarant on-site. We think we'll take full advantage of this while we're relaxing! Buy us dinner one night at the resort!

Snorkel Trip for Two!

We are planning on taking a trip to the famous Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley Marine Reserves to try our hand at snorkeling with the fish. A day in the aqua waters sounds like a dream!

Bicycle Built for Two

OK, so we're not so great at the tandem bikes, but we are planning on biking over to San Pedro one day and exploring the beach town with all of its shops and restaurants! Help us rent bikes for the day!

Kayaking the Rapids

Well, the water looks a little tamer than the Ocoee, but as two semi-professional dragon boaters, we must paddle when we see the opportunity! Purchase an hour on a sea kayak from the beach!

Lounge Time!

Sunning on the beach is a definite must during our stay. A few island beers are required for our lazy days. Buy us a six pack of Belikin or two!

Save our Skin!

We might like to eat some lobster while we're in Belize, but we definitely don't want to look like one! Help us keep our skin from turning a hideous shade of red by buying us some much needed sunscreen, sunglasses, and sun hats!

Wine Anyone?

The resort has a nice selection of wine to go with our dinners. Help us pay for a few of those toasts over dinner!

To Connect or Not?

This is not a question of whether we will connect on our trip to paradise, but whether we should connect with the outside world during our stay. We are relatively addicted to the internet, though, so maybe some connectivity time is required at the resort!

A Night out in San Pedro!

We may try out the Barefoot Iguana Bar one night in the town! It has a little bit of everything there in the two story hangar sized space!

Wild Mangos for lunch!

Since Emily's favorite show is Three Sheets, we may have to try to have some ceviche at Wild Mangos like Zane! We can wash it down with some Belikins and look for Pleepleus!

Lunch at Elvi's

Elvi's Kitchen has been in business in San Pedro since 1974 and began as a burger joint. Now it serves Mayan cuisine and fresh seafood - all under the shade of a flamboyant tree.

Place your Bets!

We might check out the Pier Lounge, where every Wednesday night they have a chicken drop! But the losers sound like they get a better deal, since the "winners" have to clean the board after the chicken does its business!
