Heineken Brewery Tour

The original Heineken brewery in Amsterdam, dating from 1930. Between 1930-1988 this famous beer was made right on this spot. Now on the building is the Heineken Experience beer museum. Inside, you can discover the secret of making one of the best beers in the world. From the big malt silos to the steering wagons, and of course to the bar where you'll be given a Heineken beer to "taste", the experience is not so extraordinary, but surely a pleasant journey into the "beer world".

Van Gogh Museum Tickets

visit to the Van Gogh Museum is a unique experience. The museum contains the largest collection of paintings by Vincent van Gogh in the world. It provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist's developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. The museum also holds an extensive offer of exhibitions on various subjects from 19th-century art history.

Anne Frank House Tour

The Anne Frank House where the Frank Family hid during World War II is located just behind the Prinsengracht. On a Monday morning, the Frank family went into hiding in the Secret Annex of the office building. Previously, one of the upper floors was used as a laboratory for a short while. During the first months before going into hiding, the hiding place was prepared as inconspicuously as possible. The attic space and the two floors were cleared and made habitable. The tour lasts about one hour and allows visitors to see the space where the Frank Family hid until being discovered in 1944 and subsequently arrested.

Crypts and Catacombs Tour

Olive Oil Tasting in Rome

Heading north from Civitavecchia, you will enjoy the warm colors of the Etruscan countryside as you make your way to Tuscania. This typical village stands at the top of a rocky hill overlooking the Maremma region. Tuscania dates back to the 9th-century BC. Although a terrible earthquake destroyed parts of the village in 1971, Tuscania's Etruscan and Renaissance buildings have been beautifully restored and still reflect the Etruscan history. Enjoy a walk with your guide through the narrow cobblestone lanes of this charming village and also take in the views of the surrounding valleys. Leaving Tuscania, proceed to a local family-owned farmhouse that produces olive oil, vegetables, biscuits, jams, wine and a various collection of liquors. On arrival, gain insight into the history of olive oil production and enjoy sampling two different oils with typical bruschetta bread, tomatoes, homemade jam and honey.

Tour of Historic Rhodes

Best explored by foot, the Old Town of Rhodes is an eclectic collection of historic influences that can be best discovered at a slow pace. Starting from the ship, your guide will escort you to the entrance to the Old Town. You'll pass through one of the turreted gateways and by the Agora and the Collachium, where the Knights of St. John of Jerusalem lived and worked, building a stronghold of Christendom in the Eastern Mediterranean. Remaining remarkably intact, the Old Town houses the churches, marble coat of arms of the Knights, canon balls, Jewish quarter, the Inns of the Knights, and most impressive, the restored Palace of the Grand Masters. You'll tour the interior of the palace as your guide points out the 14th century beginnings of the Central Courtyard and chambers decoratively built with colonnades and adorned with Hellenistic and early Christian mosaics. You will continue down the Street of the Knights, its paths paved with colorful marble and superb mosaics, past medieval towers and emblazoned facades. You will visit the Hospital of the Knights that is now a museum.

Shore Trip on Mykonos

The small, uninhabited island of Delos was once the religious center of the entire Aegean area. Today, its archaeological ruins stand as an important historical site in Greece. According to mythology, Delos was the birthplace of Apollo, the god of sun, light, music, harmony and beauty. According to revelations of 19th century excavations, Delos prospered for centuries due to its strategic position within the trade routes of the Aegean. A local boat will transport you on the 30-minute ride to the west side of the island, which leads directly to the entrance of the archaeological site. You will walk into the heart of the sanctuary where you will see the Temple of Apollo, monuments famous for their history and architectural style, the famous dried lake with the palm tree and the unique marble lions of Delos. After a short rest stop, continue towards the terrace of the foreign gods. The view of the archipelago from there is unforgettable. You will pass through the theater and walk into the famous Hellenistic mansions of Delos with their superb mosaics decoration the floors and walls.

Volcano Springs Santorini

Santorini is one of the most spectacular islands in the Mediterranean. It presents the awesome sight of a volcanic crater, partially submerged by the sea. The two islands in the caldera that is now Santorini's harbor, Palea Kameni and Nea Kameni - "the volcano," to the local people are the youngest volcanic lands in Greece. Travel by boat directly from the ship to Erinia Cove, on the volcanic island of Nea Kameni. Step out onto the Daphni lava flow, the oldest lava on the island. The path to the top of the dome is over volcanic sand and lava fragments. Observe large fragments of lava that were ejected in a molten state and cooled very rapidly as they traveled through the air. Upon reaching the summit of the crater at 127 meters, you will have time to relax and enjoy the view of the island of Santorini and the amazing cliff of the caldera. Following the same route in reverse, return to your boat and sail to the thermal springs of Palea Kameni. The boat will anchor in the deep green sulfur springs and you'll have a chance to swim in the mineral rich, warm waters (max 35 degreeC) of the Hot Springs.

Ancient Ephesus Tour

Kusadasi has grown from a small sleepy fishing village into a sprawling tourist center, serving the thousands of tourists who flock to the area to visit the nearby ruins of Ephesus. These ancient ruins are considered the most important in Turkey. Leaving the colorful town of Kusadasi behind, you will pass through the verdant countryside before arriving at Ephesus. Once you enter the Open Air Archeological Museum of Ephesus and pass by the Magnesia gate, you will enter the administrative section of ancient Ephesus. The guided walking tour will take you through one of the most magnificent excavations in the world. See the Odeon, the Fountain of Trajan, the steam baths of Scholastika, the temple of Hadrian and the impressive library of Celsius. The library is adorned with columns and statues. The Grand Theater, where St. Paul preached, is one of the largest theaters in antiquity with a capacity of 24,000 seats. You will return to the buses through the Arcadian way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession.

Night Out in Istanbul

Begin with a scenic orientation drive to a local nightclub to enjoy Turkish cuisine with Turkish hospitality. A floorshow will be performed during and after dinner, consisting of Oriental belly dancers and several folk dance groups from various districts of Anatolia. Traditional shows will follow dinner and you will have a glimpse of the Turkish cultural variety. A talented group of international animator singers singing phonetically in many languages of the world will be the final of the show of the evening. The tour ends with a drive to the Bosphorous Bridge where you will experience the night of Istanbul with the fantastic panorama between the two continents over the Marmara Sea. The coach will return to your vessel after a night of real Turkish experiences.

Mt Vesuvius Hike & Pompei

Leaving the port, drive south via the motorway towards Mount Vesuvius, Europe's only still-active volcano that is located on the west coast of Naples. At approximately 3,000 feet, begin your trek on foot over narrow paths that zigzag up the mountain another 1,000 feet. Once on the rim of the crater walls, skirt the edge with an official alpine guide while enjoying this natural phenomenon and the panoramic views that includes Naples and its bay. After visiting this unusual phenomenon, descend along the narrow paths to the parking lot and proceed to Pompeii. Once in Pompeii, enjoy a complimentary soft drink before entering the excavation site. Pompeii is possibly the most famous excavation in the world. There a flourishing civilization, buried for 1,700 years, has been brought to life again and where you can see how the citizens of the greatest empire the world has ever known lived and loved, worked and played, ate and drank and died. Entering Pompeii by the Sea Gate you are soon in the Agora, surrounded by temples, porticoes and law courts.

Wine Tour In Pompei

The Mastroberardino winery, known worldwide as one of the main wine producers of southern Italy, has a special permit from the Italian Government to plant its own grapes inside the excavations of Pompeii and was requested to use the same methods of 2.000 years ago. Each year, the winery produces a wine called Villa dei Misteri in limited quantities of (approximately 1,800 bottles) making it not only one of the most refined worldwide wines but also a piece of history! Arriving in Pompeii, you will meet the agronomist that will open the gates of areas to you that are usually closed to the public and where the Mastroberardino grapes are planted. You will learn about and see the wine techniques of 2,000 years ago. You will explore an ancient cantina where the Pompeians were conserving the wine in large barrels and other amazing pieces of art. Following this exclusive visit, your guide will show you around the main Pompeiis sites covering the lesser-known areas. There a flourishing civilization, buried for 1,700 years, has been brought to life again, and you can see how the citizens lived, loved, worked, played, ate, drank and died. The mosaic floors and the brilliant frescoes which so delighted the Pompeians shine forth; the baths and theatres, the wrestling ground and the luxurious villas with their gardens, even plaster casts of the locals at the moment of asphyxiation are there for your inspection. Just outside Pompeii excavations, you will visit a local cameo factory before continuing with an hour ride through the Italian countryside bound for the Mastroberardino winery to visit the ancient cantina from 1878 with its beautiful frescos on the roof and all the different wines of the Mastroberardino production. You will learn about the modern methods of the wine production and see the private cellar of the Mastroberardino family before enjoying a buffet lunch accompanied by a wine tasting of 3 different wines. After a 1.5-hour drive, you will return to the ship in Naples.
