Whale Watching

We would enjoy a magical evening cruise that guarantees a humpback whale sighting! After a short drive to scenic Auke Bay, we'd board a catamaran specifically designed for wildlife viewing. An onboard naturalist explains the behavior and habitat of these mighty creatures. Once whales are sighted, the captain maneuvers to allow for exceptional viewing and photo opportunities. If conditions allow, an underwater hydrophone is deployed for a chance to hear the humpbacks' incredible "singing."

White Water Rafting

Discover the fun of white-water rafting on an exciting - yet gentle - Mendenhall River excursion that's perfect for rafters of all ages and levels of experience. Admire spectacular views of the glacier and towering peaks as you float past the shoreline, and shoot moderate rapids in some sections of the river. Your entertaining host explains the natural phenomena at work in this scenic valley.

Buchart Gardens excursion

Marvel at Butchart Gardens, a national historic site born from a turn-of-the-century effort to beautify a rock quarry and now a veritable Eden celebrating over 100 years in bloom. The gardens blanket 50 acres with all the colors of nature and, here, life runs at the pace of a bygone era. Maps direct you on a self-guided tour of the themed gardens and winding paths that make up this jewel of Vancouver Island. Next, travel to a winery and treat yourself to samples of wine paired with chocolate truffles. As you return to your ship, the city aglow with lights paints a picturesque finale to an unforgettable day.

Discover one man's inspired vision to transform a storm-damaged ecosystem into a magical garden nestled in the heart of Alaska's rainforest.

Alaskan Salmon Bake

We'd get to see the Mendenhall Glacier, and enjoy wild Alaska salmon barbecued over an open alderwood fire at a feast for all of the senses. After a short, scenic bus ride we'd arrive at Salmon Creek, the outdoor site for the salmon bake. We would get to savor all-you-can-eat salmon, chicken, barbecued ribs, salads, corn bread and dessert while enjoying musical entertainment. After the meal, we can stroll through the woods or roast marshmallows over the campfire. Take the short walk to Salmon Falls to pan for gold, and view spawning salmon and the remains of the historic Wagner Mine.

Train Ride-Skagway

This sounds like an unforgettable journey aboard the "Scenic Railway of the World" to the White Pass summit. This little engineering wonder climbs nearly 3,000 feet over 20 miles of steep grades and cliff-hanging turns, retracing the original route to the White Pass summit, passing Bridal Veil Falls, Inspiration Point and Dead Horse Gulch. We'd enjoy a breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls, tunnels, trestles and historic sites. It would be cool to see the original Klondike Trail of '98 worn into the rocks, a permanent tribute to the thousands of souls who passed this way in search of fortune.

Dog Sled Ride

On this excursion, we would meet professional mushers and their dogs on a unique Alaska excursion that combines helicopter flightseeing with dog sledding. After a thrilling flight over spectacular glaciers, we'll land at a dog camp on Denver Glacier. Experienced guides introduce us to "mushing," the art of dog sledding. We can either drive the sled or sit back and relax while enjoying the breathtaking scenery.

Crab Feast

Mmmm, we both can't wait for the crab...especially Renea, it's her favorite! We would get to explore Alaska's wilderness by boat and savor Dungeness crab amid the hospitality of a historic Alaska lodge. Lodges are always fun!

Victorian Pub Crawl

Victoria is known for its flowers and gardens, but there is a secret treasure few visitors have the time to experience - the pubs! Downtown Victoria has a wide array of pubs and microbreweries. Relax in a traditional English-style pub and visit others with a uniquely Canadian atmosphere that's not to be found elsewhere. Visit three different taverns and sample the finest local brews Canada has to offer.

Located on Mt. Hood, this lodge is rustic and romantic! There is a fireplace in the room and a beautiful view. We have heard about this place, and would really love to stay here for a night!

Pike Place Market

We really look forward to seeing the famous fish-slinging at Pike Place Market. Andrew even offered to cook dinner with the goodies we buy there!

We'd board a colorfully-adorned tramcar for the exhilarating ride to the 1,800-foot level of Mount Roberts. Here, expansive views of the Chilkat Mountains, Stephens Passage, Douglas Island and downtown Juneau provide stunning photo opportunities.

Helicopter Glacier Tour

Andrew said his dream come true would be to take a tour of the glaciers in a helicopter with his new bride!
